Product Sourcing Policy
Our sourcing service does not include quality inspection, factory audits, lab testing, or cargo insurance. Quality Inspection which includes Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), During Production Inspection (DPI), Container Loading Check (CLC), and Factory Audits is available as a separate, paid add-on service — please request it with your quote if needed. Returns must be requested via email while items remain in warehouse storage within the supplier’s 5 to 7 day window, and all return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
DDP Shipping Policy
Our DDP service offers seamless door-to-door logistics with customs clearance and tracking. Quality Inspection is available as a separate paid service—including Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), During Production Inspection (DPI), Container Loading Check (CLC), and Factory Audits for supplier verification. The Cross-Border E-Commerce Blog
Guides on China marketplace purchasing (1688, Taobao/Tmall), direct manufacturer sourcing, quality inspection, DDP shipping from China to the USA, and prep centre services for Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and Etsy sellers.
How Marketplace & Factory Sourcing Works with DropZen:
Sourcing products from China through marketplaces like 1688.com, Taobao.com, and Tmall.com—or connecting directly with manufacturers—is the backbone of thousands of successful e-commerce businesses selling on Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and Etsy. Yet for most global sellers, navigating Chinese wholesale platforms and factory networks feels like a wall: language barriers, unverified suppliers, and payment systems requiring local Chinese accounts. DropZen Logistics bridges that gap by acting as your dedicated local Chinese sourcing and procurement partner.
What Our Product Sourcing Services Include:
- 1688 / Taobao / Tmall Purchasing: We buy directly from marketplace listings, manage local RMB payments, and track delivery to our warehouse.
- Factory & Manufacturer Sourcing: We source existing wholesale products directly from factory suppliers on your behalf.
- Warehouse Receiving & Photos: We inspect box condition, take photos of received goods, and upload them for your review before shipping.
Note: Standard sourcing includes visual photo verification. Quality inspection can be provided as a separate paid add-on service.
Why sellers choose a China sourcing agent instead of buying direct
- Access to 1688/Taobao marketplace prices and factory-direct supplier rates (typically 30–60% cheaper than Alibaba English listings).
- No need for a Chinese bank account, Alipay wallet or WeChat Pay.
- One point of contact for consolidated shipments from multiple suppliers.
- Faster reorders once your product is validated by our team.
Sourcing → DDP → Prep: a fully connected workflow
Because DropZen also runs its own DDP shipping lane and provide prep services, you can hand us a 1688/Taobao link or images of goods you want to source directly from factories in China and receive Amazon-ready inventory by the end of the shipping cycle — with a single invoice and one team to talk to.
Inventory Return Policy
All incoming supplier shipments received at our warehouse are subject to the designated supplier return window (typically 5 to 7 days after arrival) once photos are provided. Please note that return eligibility ultimately depends on the individual supplier’s policy regarding whether they accept returns or exchanges. We kindly advise that you consult with our team beforehand to verify whether a specific supplier accepts returns before proceeding.
- Return Window & Eligibility: Return or exchange requests must be submitted via email while items are still held in warehouse storage. Goods are strictly ineligible for return, exchange, or refund once they have been dispatched for DDP shipping or outbound freight.
- Supplier Policies & Fees: Processing returns is entirely contingent upon the original supplier’s acceptance policy. All shipping and logistics costs associated with returning items from the warehouse back to the supplier are the sole responsibility of the customer.
To open a return request, email info@dropzenlogistics.com with your order number, while your inventory is still in our warehouse.
DDP Shipping from China to USA — What E-Commerce Sellers Need to Know
DDP stands for Delivered Duty Paid. It is the Incoterm in which the seller (or in this case, your freight forwarder — DropZen) takes full responsibility for delivering the shipment from a Chinese origin to the buyer’s US door, including ocean or air freight, US customs clearance, import duties, tariffs and last-mile trucking. For e-commerce sellers, DDP removes almost all of the paperwork and cash-flow surprises that come with importing goods from China.
Please note: Our DDP service includes cargo insurance to protect your shipments. Quality inspection is available as a separate paid add-on service, which includes Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), During Production Inspection (DPI), Container Loading Check (CLC), and Factory Audits. please email us at info@dropzenlogistics.com and we will provide you with the information through our email.
What DropZen’s DDP shipping service covers
- Door-to-door delivery from a China warehouse to any US address, including Amazon FBA warehouses.
- US customs clearance and payment of duties on your behalf.
- Real-time tracking so you always know where your cargo is.
If you need cargo insurance for high-value shipments, please email us and we will provide you with the information.
How pricing is calculated — weight vs CBM (volume)
Freight companies charge on chargeable weight — the higher of actual weight (kg) or volumetric weight (CBM converted to kg). Light and bulky products (like foam mats or pillows) usually pay by volume, whereas dense goods (like tools or hardware) pay by weight. When you submit our DDP quote form we ask for both weight (kg) and dimensions (CBM) so we can calculate the fairest rate.
DDP + Prep Centre: a shortcut for E-Commerce Sellers
If you tick “Need Prep Centre Service” in the DDP form, we route your shipment directly to our USA prep centre — no US address needed. Once your goods land, our team applies FNSKU labels, polybags, bundles and photographs your inventory so it lands at Amazon FBA compliant on the first attempt.
USA Prep Centre for Amazon FBA/FBM, eBay, Walmart & Etsy Sellers
A prep centre — sometimes called a “third-party prep and fulfillment service” — is a warehouse that receives your inventory, prepares it to marketplace standards, and forwards it to the correct fulfillment network. If you sell on Amazon FBA/FBM, eBay, Walmart WFS or Etsy, a specialised prep centre can be the difference between an ASIN that ships on time and a stranded shipment sitting in receiving purgatory.
The services DropZen’s USA prep centre provides
- FNSKU / barcode labeling — Amazon-compliant scannable labels applied over any manufacturer barcode.
- Polybagging — food-grade or standard polybags with suffocation warnings where required.
- Product photography — clean listing-ready product shots for Amazon, eBay, Walmart and Etsy.
- Bundling / kitting — combine multiple SKUs into one shippable unit with its own FNSKU.
- Bubble wrapping — protective packaging for fragile items.
If your prep needs fall outside this list, you can describe them in the Explain field on our quote form and our team will confirm feasibility and pricing.
Marketplace-specific requirements at a glance
Amazon FBA requires every unit to carry a scannable FNSKU that matches its ASIN. Items are also expected to be polybagged (with suffocation warnings for bags over 5″×5″), and bundled listings must be labeled as “Sold as Set — Do Not Separate”. Walmart WFS shares many of these rules but uses its own labeling standard. eBay and Etsy are more forgiving, but professional packaging and photography directly move the needle on conversion rate and buyer trust.
Why a prep centre pays for itself
Amazon rejects non-compliant shipments, and the recovery process is slow and expensive. Sending your inventory through a professional prep centre like DropZen means your first-attempt success rate approaches 100%, and your capital sits in a fulfillment network — where it earns revenue — instead of sitting in your garage waiting to be relabelled.
China Quality Inspection & Supplier Verification Services
Catching manufacturing defects, wrong specifications, or quantity discrepancies before inventory leaves China saves thousands of dollars in international return freight, customs re-clearance, and Amazon removal fees. DropZen’s Quality Inspection Services protect your business capital by verifying order accuracy directly at origin.
Our Core Quality Inspection Solutions
- Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI): Our primary quality defense. Performed when 100% of your production run is finished and at least 80% is packed in master cartons. We conduct visual defect checks, dimension and weight measurements, functional testing, and packaging compliance verifications before final payment release.
- During Production Inspection (DPI): Recommended for larger or highly customized order runs. Performed when 20% to 50% of the manufacturing process is complete. This allows us to catch design or component flaws early in production, preventing mass-factory delays and expensive rework cycles.
- Container Loading Check (CLC): Conducted at the factory or warehouse during final stuffing into shipping containers. We supervise loading conditions, verify total master carton counts, check seal integrity, and ensure correct stacking to prevent transit damage.
- Factory Audit (Supplier Vetting Add-On): An optional service for e-commerce sellers evaluating new China suppliers. We inspect factory business licenses, production lines, machinery, worker conditions, and internal quality control protocols before you place initial deposit payments.
Actionable Inspection Reports
After every inspection or audit, our team delivers a complete visual report featuring high-resolution photos, functional video footage, and an explicit Pass/Fail summary so you can negotiate directly with suppliers or authorize dispatch with full confidence.
(Service Scope & Standalone Billing Policy)
Please note that Quality Inspection is provided strictly as a standalone, premium add-on service. It is not bundled or included as a standard feature within our Product Sourcing, DDP Shipping, or Prep Centre packages. If selected alongside these fulfillment solutions, Quality Inspection will be billed separately based on your specific order volume and inspection scope.
